RONNIE COCHRAN, PRODUCER
Contact: minnard1@att.net
A native of West Virginia, Ronnie’s early career was in television. Later he performed and toured with country artist, Mel Street, playing bass and singing background vocals, and coproducing Mel’s recordings. His time with Mel Street brought him to Nashville, where he met and worked with Billy Walker. He played bass and did background vocals for Billy on the Grand Ole Opry and was Billy’s producer for almost twenty years. During his time in Nashville, Ronnie, through his production company RC Productions, produced recording sessions for many artists and clients including four album projects for Wendy Manley, an artist on John Nelson’s label, White Water Records. Ronnie produced most of the recordings showcased on this website, and in these recordings his talent and production skills are on full display.
HILLTOP RECORDING STUDIOS
Contact: www.hilltopstudio.com
Founded in 1963, Hilltop is the longest enduring studio business in Nashville. Their building was designed and built from the ground up as a recording studio, rather than a converted house or other structure like many of the traditional studios. Their client list has included country artists from household names like George Jones and Dolly Parton to countless other artists, producers and songwriters from all formats and corners of the music industry. As their website states, that list includes everyone “from Grammy winning platinum selling artists to the songwriter that just moved to town.” It has been our pleasure to work with senior engineer John Nicholson over the years on four album projects for Wendy Manley and the many song demoes that can be heard on this site.

With early roots in Eastern Pennsylvania and later in Bozeman, Montana, country artist Wendy Manley grew up with a love for country music. She has recorded six studio albums between White Water Records and Fossyl Records that include a variety of music ranging from Country to Christian to Blues. Four of her albums were produced by Ronnie Cochran and were recorded at Hilltop Studios in Nashville. She has had widespread airplay and chart success with her gospel and country projects. Her single, Mobile, was featured on SiriusXM Radio upon its release, and a video of that song can be enjoyed here. Her music is available on all the major streaming sites.
